LPU ranks 20th in the IRIS Top Philippine Universities in Engineering
LPU continues to accomplish its mission to advance and preserve knowledge by undertaking research and disseminating and utilizing results. This accomplishment has been recently recognized by The Institutes for Research, Innovation, and Scholarship (The IRIS).
Last July 14, 2021, The IRIS held the 5th series of The IRIS Leadership Legacy Forums entitled, “Peering into the Research Dimension of University Rankings: Snapshots of Philippine Universities”. In this webinar, Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) was recognized as one of the top Philippine universities in research productivity in the field of engineering (engineering, computer science, and energy), and it was ranked 20th among the 106 public and private Philippine universities.
The IRIS research rankings on research productivity, which was unveiled in the presentation of Dr. Carlos Primo, Professor of Geology and Environmental Sciences at the University of the Philippines Diliman, were based on the cumulative publications and citations from both Elsevier’s Scopus and Thomson Reuter’s Web of Science and the h-index.
The IRIS is a private educational, research, and scientific organization that seeks to create pathways for collaboration among Filipino researchers, educators, innovators, and scholars in science, technology, engineering, agro-fisheries, and mathematics.
