Representatives from Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite emerged victorious in the HEI – Best Internationalization Initiatives Competition of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IV during the 2021 ASEAN Month Celebration.

Besting other HEIs from the CALABARZON Region, the LPU Cavite team won 2nd Place for the Video-Making Contest. Flores, and Maureen Sillon, students from the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management, and their coach Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, Assistant Vice-President for Administration. The team received a plaque of recognition and prize money of 15,000 pesos. Aside from that, the LPU Cavite team was also part of the Top 15 among the CALABARZON HEIs in the Infographics making contest.

The objective of this competition was to promote and encourage HEIs in CALABARZON by showing their Internationalization initiatives through a video presentation and infographics involving cooperation among ASEAN HEIs and organizations to advance knowledge frontiers and promote social and cultural diversity in higher education.

In an interview, the LPU Cavite team was asked what made their LPU Cavite education set them apart from the others. The team answered “We were taught by the right manner or the right tools on how to manage the circumstances, but ultimately what made us win was our open communication within the team including our adviser”

Truly, one of the main drivers of their victory was their dedication, commitment, and perseverance to the solution which is a pure demonstration of our LPU Core Values.
