LPU Cavite takes a significant step towards excellence in education through ISO 21001:2018 certification

Lyceum of the Philippines University Cavite, a leading educational institution committed to providing quality education, conducted an orientation on ISO 21001:2018-Educational Organization Management System today at the Lemongrass Studio of LPU Cavite. The event aimed to familiarize university officials and members of the Quality Management System (QMS) with the standards and principles outlined in ISO 21001:2018.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) created ISO 21001:2018 specifically for educational organizations, which is a globally recognized standard. It provides a framework for implementing effective management systems tailored to the unique needs of educational institutions. By adhering to ISO 21001:2018, universities and colleges can enhance their processes, improve learner outcomes, and ensure the continual improvement of their educational services.

Distinguished university representatives, including the VP for Administration, Dr. Maria Teresa O. Pilapil, the VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, Deans and Department Heads, as well as members of the Quality Management System in charge of ensuring compliance with ISO standards across the campus, attended the orientation at LPU Cavite. The gathering demonstrated LPU Cavite’s strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of education and providing an exceptional learning experience for its students.

During the orientation, participants were briefed on the key requirements of ISO 21001:2018 and its significance in promoting educational excellence. The session included discussions on topics such as leadership, planning, support, operation, evaluation, and improvement within an educational organization.

Dr. Pilapil, the VP for Administration of LPU Cavite, expressed her enthusiasm for the application of ISO 21001:2018. She stated, “This orientation marks a significant milestone in our continuous pursuit of excellence in education. By adopting the ISO 21001:2018 standard, we are affirming our commitment to providing a quality-driven learning environment for our students. This framework will enable us to streamline our processes, engage stakeholders effectively, and enhance learner outcomes.”
