Educational Discussion on Climate Science Ignites Environmental Awareness
In support of the #Act4SDGs campaign for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, LPU-Cavite partnered with UPLB to host an Educational Discussion on Climate Science. Dr. Ronilo Jose D. Flores, an assistant professor from UPLB, was the keynote speaker, addressing the topic “Our Planet on Your Plate: Planting the Seeds of Planetary Health in the Philippines”. This discussion underscored the link between dietary choices, agriculture, and climate change’s far-reaching effects.
The hybrid event on September 15, 2023, welcomed attendees both in person and via Zoom. Dr. Flores highlighted the importance of sustainable farming, reducing food waste, and adopting plant-based diets to combat climate change. This event underscores the pivotal role of knowledge in advancing sustainability and climate resilience as we work towards the SDGs.
