Recognizing the importance of empowering Senior High School students for their journey beyond high school, a Career Awareness Program was organized by the Guidance and Testing Center in coordination with the International School, all colleges, and Communication and Public Affairs Department on November 14, 2023. Hosted at the University Auditorium, the event heralded a dawn of self-discovery for participants, igniting their passion for finding the perfect career path. With the theme, “Exploring Career and Educational Opportunities: Preparing for College and Beyond”, the students were provided with invaluable resources and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their future endeavors that not only benefit their personal growth but also contribute positively to society.

The day commenced with an engaging career seminar facilitated by Mr. James Philip Ray V. Pinggolio, LPT, RGC, Faculty, Psychology Department, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. The seminar aimed to help students identify their unique strengths, skills, passions, and interests and align them with suitable career paths. Through interactive discussions, students were given the tools and resources necessary to explore various career options and make informed decisions about their future. High-energy presentations and interactive exercises fostered an environment of self-reflection and self-awareness, guiding students to understand how their individual traits influence their career preferences.

Following the career seminar, representatives from all colleges presented their program offerings to the students. This insightful session allowed students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the courses and programs available to them. By showcasing the wide array of educational opportunities, the presentation inspired and motivated students to envision their future paths.

Understanding the significance of financial assistance, the Communication and Public Affairs Department also facilitated a discussion on scholarship opportunities. The students were encouraged to explore scholarships as a means of easing the financial burden associated with higher education. They provided invaluable guidance on finding and applying for scholarships, instilling a sense of hope among students who aspire to pursue their dreams, regardless of financial constraints.

The career awareness event also featured vibrant booth exhibits that catered to various career domains. These exhibits offered interactive experiences and informative displays, enabling students to gain firsthand knowledge about diverse career options and broadened the students’ horizons and helped them explore unconventional career paths. This bustling marketplace of opportunities sparked excitement among the students as they visualized themselves in their desired careers.

As the event drew to a close, the participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with newfound knowledge and equipped with a supportive community, these students are now ready to navigate the vast sea of career options. Inspired and motivated, these students embarked on a path of self-discovery and career exploration as they approached one of the most significant milestones in their lives.
