Food and Beverage Services NC II Assessment

In line with LPU Cavite’s efforts to provide quality services to its community, the Technical Skills Development, led by Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, Director of TSD, conducted the first competency assessment in the university. On October 27-28, ten selected participants from the College of International and Hospitality Management and 3 outreach program students joined the assessment supervised by Mr. Rommel A. Libria – FBS NC II Assessor (TESDA).

The proceedings started at exactly 8:00 in the morning at the Le Café. Mr. Libria allowed the participants to set up the equipment and the arrangement of the tables. The participants were led by Ms. Jocelyn Camalig, Associate Dean of CITHM, as she was the one who volunteered first to start the assessment training.

Ms. Miramar De Asis, another TESDA Representative later arrived in the site to observe the proceedings.

The participants performed tasks related to restaurant and hotel services. They were gauged on their efficiency and skills in providing first-rate services. The tasks may appear simple but the nuances with which they were carried out were a big consideration.

Fortunately, every participant delivered their task with aplomb. Mr. Libria had judged each participant to have met TESDA’s stringent standards and have granted each of them their FBS NC II Assessment Certificate.
