Asian Qualitative Research Association International Training Workshop on Qualitative Research: From Start to Finish
The Strategic Communications Office Officer-In-Charge and College of Arts and Sciences faculty, Ms. Angelita Fruelda attended the Asian Qualitative Research Association International Training Workshop on Qualitative Research: From Start to Finish at Pinesview Hotel, Baguio City on November 27-29, 2019. This international training workshop was organized by the Asian Qualitative Research Association to enhance the knowledge of participants on qualitative research.
The objectives of this training were to define qualitative research, its importance and strategies on how to improve quality in conducting and writing a qualitative research. Another part of this workshop was to have the participants collaborate in activities to enhance their qualitative research knowledge and skills, as well as open opportunities in creating linkages with other qualitative researchers. Ms. Fruelda was able to collaborate with different delegates from the different parts of the Philippines.
Topics covered in the lectures and workshop sessions were Fundamentals of QLR, Designing a QLR study, Becoming a QLR Researcher, Overview of QLR Designs, Preparing for Data Collection, Dealing with Quality in QLR, Doing Field Work, Data Analysis, Writing an Abstract and Proposal Preparation and Presentation Using One of the Five QLR Designs: Case Study, Phenomenology, Narrative Inquiry, Grounded Theory and Ethnography.
