LPU-NTP Research Forum

In its efforts to promote and enhance the research capabilities of the non-teaching personnel in LPU-Cavite, the Skills Development Office held the third part of the research series entitled, “LPU-NTP Research Forum: A Journey Towards Research Excellence” last September 30, 2015 at the University’s Multi-Purpose Hall.

The forum started with a prayer followed by the opening remarks of Mr. Lizandro O. Ferrer, OIC of Human Resources Department, who delivered a motivational message to persuade the NTP’s to enjoy doing research as this will be helpful in improving their service to the university.

As the forum proper started, Mr. Jerrold Subire, the host of the forum introduced the first presenter, Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, Director of Skills Development Office. Dr. Celis discussed his research entitled, “Gender Equality in Lyceum of the Philippines University Education: Basis for Development of Gender.” While he discussed the content of the paper, the NTP was taking down notes and highlighting the importance of the study.

The second presenter of the forum was Ms. Kimberly Joy E. Alcaraz, Research Coordinator of the University. She discussed her paper entitled, “The Rhetorical Appeals of LPU’s Marketing Communications: Basis for Operations Initiatives”, as she highlighted the effectiveness of the mass media activities used in promoting the University. NTP’s were carefully listening as they get information in the study.

After Ms. Alcaraz’ discussion, she was followed by Ms. Katrezia Fiel G. Macawile as the third presenter who discussed about her paper “Taking the Quality: LPU Cavite’s Customer Focus Through Satisfaction-Feedback and Evaluation Services.” Her study focused on the satisfaction level of LPU customers regarding the hospitality and accommodation of LPU staff. Together with this, she also discussed the results which contains the feedback of the customers.

Lastly, Ms. Evangeline Aviñante, Head of Guidance Testing Center introduced her study entitled “Five-Year Evaluation of University Programs and Services of the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite.” Her study focused on the satisfaction of the students for the last five years. She conducted the research to identify the feedback of the students as the University creates innovations for improvement.

At the end of the event, all the presenter were awarded by Certificate of Recognitions.
