The University held its 25th Total Quality Instruction Development Program (TQIDP) for the academic year 2020-2021 on August 25, 2020. The TQIDP is a gathering of administrative officials and academic personnel aimed at providing training, information, motivation and fellowship to educators as they start a new semester. Due to the present situation, this was also the historical first ever online TQIDP.
The guest speaker for this year was Dr Maria Caridad “Caring” Tarroja, Associate Professor of Psychology at the De La Salle University, Manila. Basing her talk on the theme, LPU in the N.E.W. (Novel Educational Workplace), the professor discussed creative ways for educators to cope with the altered setting in the educational process brought about by the precautions and restrictions of the pandemic.
Among the highlights of the program were a special greeting by the University President, Atty Roberto “Bobby” Laurel and the report of the University Vice-President for Administration and Registrar, Ms Maria Teresa O. Pilapil. Dr. Ramon C. Maniago, Executive Director for Academic Affairs, encouraged all to exert their best efforts for this year’s online program MyLPU LEADS.
This year’s TQIDP was organized and hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences led by OIC Dean Atty. Janice Kristine Ramos and her dependable team of program chairs. The event successfully gathered 250 participants.
