A group of Japanese businessmen from Gunma Prefecture in Japan recently completed a Business English course in LPU Cavite. The course was designed to help businessmen communicate effectively in English in business settings. It included lessons about the use of English grammar and vocabulary in professional contexts. They also engaged in simulation exercises on social and professional interactions. The students learned how to effectively present their company using various presentation techniques and software. The highlight of the class was the culminating activity where students had to individually present their company to an audience, using the concepts and techniques they learned during the 5-day course.
LPU also arranged for the businessmen to visit and meet with key officials of selected Japanese companies in Laguna. They also had opportunity to engage in outreach activities with the University’s adopted institution, the Bukid Kabataan.
First offered in 2015, the ESL (English as a Second Language) program of LPU is accredited by the Department of Tourism.
