The International School (IS) Department wrapped-up the first semester with their annual celebration of IS Week, December 9 to 12, 2019.
With the theme, “Synergy towards Excellence”, the 10th week-long celebration of the IS Week commenced with a Mass and the Opening ceremony that recognized the students’ accomplishments, as well as the induction of different student organizations for the academic year, 2019-2020.
Throughout the week, JHS and SHS teams competed to their respective intramural sports, cheerdance competition, and Laro ng Lahi (Philippine traditional games).
On Monday, the SHS community celebrated the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Day by holding a Research Colloquium and Research Poster Competition.
The following day, the JHS conducted their Mr. and Ms. Teen LPU 2019, while the Accountancy, Business and Management Strand celebrated the ABM Day, where students participated in Cheerleading Competition and the Amazing Race.
Set Wednesday, students from the Arts and Design Track (ADT), the Sports Track (SPT), the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand (HUMSS), the General Academic Strand (GAS) and the Technical-Vocational and Livelihood Track (TVL) spearheaded the celebration of the ASHG Fest and TVL Day, which included different activities such as Travel Expo, Food Festival, Wedding Cake Expo, International Cuisine Competition, Food and Beverage Service Competition, Traditional and Digital Storyboarding/Character Design and Mobile Legends Tournament.
The week-long festivity concluded on Thursday with the awarding of winners for the intramurals of JHS and SHS and the most-awaited Mr. and Ms. Teen LPU 2019 SHS Edition.
The celebration of IS Week aimed to live the 10-year legacy of excellence of the department.
