Lyceum Peer Facilitators Group (LPFG) shall be known as a support group of the Guidance and Testing Center (GTC) in order to train students who can serve on basic interpersonal and facilitating skills.
After finishing its recruitment drive, the LPFG welcomed its new members through the Orientation and Basic Peer Facilitating Skills Workshop with the theme “POSSE: Relieving the Purpose of Lifting One Another” last October 8, 2019 at the Lemon Grass Studio. It aimed to promote camaraderie and to introduce the scope and concept of basic facilitating skills to its new peers.
The program opened with the welcoming remarks of Ms. Mary Jane D. Javier, Guidance Associate for CoECSA and orientation by Julian Grayfrex A. Alcomendas, LPFG President. The highlight of the event was the Basic Peer Facilitating Skills Workshop facilitated by the LPFG Coordinator, Ms. Nympha V. Leyva, RGC. The speaker addressed the responsibilities and disciplines on becoming an effective Lycean Peer Facilitator. Lastly, Kenji A. Makiyama, LPFG Asst. Project Manager and Peer Organization of the Philippines – Cavite Vice President (External), gave the closing remarks.
The program ended after a series of activities, talks, and games which strengthened the bond and unity of the LPFG members. All Lycean Peers who joined the program went home with new perspectives and enriched knowledge.
