Engineering, Computer Studies and Architecture


The College of Engineering, Computer Studies and Architecture (CoECSA) is one of the formidable Colleges in the University composed of competent faculty members with solid and extensive experience in the industry.

In 2010 CoECS was borne out of the merging of two departments – the Department of Engineering and the Department of Computer Studies. The reorganization resulted into one strong College which has become a forerunner in providing quality education in the field of computer science and engineering.

During those years, the College offers six (6) Engineering programs; BS Civil Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Electronics Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering, and BS Mechanical Engineering; and offers for computer programs: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies.

Year 2013 marked another milestone for the CoECS, the college started to offer Bachelor of Science in Architecture program. This endeavour gave birth for the new of the college coined as College of Engineering, Computer Studies and Architecture (COECSA). The BS Architecture program was adopted by the Department of Engineering, thus the name Department of Engineering and Architecture.

Since the leadership of Dr. Ramon Maniago as the College's Dean in 2009, CoECS has witnessed milestones. Supporting Dr, Maniago in pushing for the realization of its mission and vision from 2009 to 2012 are Computer Studies Chairperson, Mr. Elmer C. Matel; Engineering Chairperson, Engr. Saturnino R. Perlas; and its competent pool of faculty members.

In 2013, Miss Jerian R. Peren and Engr. Arnel M. Avelino were appointed chairperson for the Department of Computer Studies and Department of Engineering and Architecture, respectively.

At present, guided by the leadership of Dr. Ramon Maniago, the college continuously produce competent and well-rounded graduates that are now making names in the field of engineering and computer industry.


The College of Engineering, Computer Studies and Architecture envisions itself as among the top team players in the field of Architecture, Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICT) educational institutions that produce quality centered graduates who imbibe the fundamental core values of LPU and seek the truth and fortitude in the service of God and Country.
