(SM Mall of Asia, drive-in cinemas called "Movies By The Bay")

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now that we need the arts most as a society to unite us, provide comfort, inspire creativity and ease stress in these challenging times. There are numerous ways we can ensure the arts remain a part of our lives despite the need for social distancing.

LPU Cavite’s ARTCAD will continue to provide and share all the latest updates on online experiences, virtual exhibits, live streamed concerts and theatre performances. We’ve rounded up a handful of events happening this October.

The exhibition was due to close in February 28, but in partnership with Google Arts & Culture, the British Library has now made this exhibit free and accessible online. An absolutely magical exhibit, explore the wide range of the wizard’s world and dive into the lovely illustrations designed for the book series.

Drive-in Cinemas

The drive-in cinema now seems to be the best way to ensure everyone’s safety with physical distancing and still keeping audiences entertained. The first ever Drive-in cinema in the country is set to offer a selection of local and international movies in Circuit Makati and Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Tickets will be sold online. For schedule and updates, follow Drive-in Manila on Facebook and Instagram.

Likewise, SM Mall of Asia has launched its own drive-in cinema, “Movies by the Bay” beginning September 9 with tickets at just P400 per head. It will be accessible every week from Wednesday to Sunday at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds Block 16. The drive-in cinema will still follow strict guidelines so only those aged 21-59 will be allowed entry with a valid ID.
