The Lyceum of the Philippines University—Cavite participated in the THE-ICE IPoE Forum in Dubai, UAE, from November 7–10, 2022. Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, AVP, Administration, and Dean, CITHM, together with the Assistant Dean, Mr. Ivan Bartolata, represented LPU.

The international forum brought together representatives from TH&E research, education, and industry to address the theme “Hospitality and Tourism Higher Education: Connecting Minds and Creating the Future.”

The forum addressed the following topics through its various plenary panels: (1) connecting minds in meaningful and manageable ways; (2) increasing mobility and accessibility; opportunities and challenges confronting TH&E higher education providers; and (3) is the degree dead? What and how should HEIs provide future T&E students? The forum also highlighted various business alliance partner presentations and roundtable workshops.

The participation of LPU Cavite will provide new perspectives to continuously propel the quality of hospitality and tourism education in the university.
