LPU Cavite Bags Gold in the Quiz Bee Competition During National Architecture Week
National Architecture Week is the annual celebration of the architecture community in the Philippines. In its 48th year, new activities are held to rhapsodize the accounting profession. This year’s theme “Abot-TaNAW: Tahanan Para sa Lahat” advocate housing for all. It holds different activities to showcase the varieties of skills from aspiring architects such as Exhibitions, Arki Forum, Fellowship Night and competitions including Quiz Bee, Design Competition and Photography.
Architecture students from the University of the East, MAPUA and Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite came to compete against each other in the Quiz Bee Competition last December 14, 2019 in Ayala Malls, Manila Bay.
The competition has two categories: individual and group. For group category, the BS Architecture students from LPU-Cavite, Josh Matthew Rementilla, Eleazar Talabong and Noreen Gail Pabilonia, bagged gold in the Championship with 61 points. For the individual category, Mickey Soriño placed third with 48 points against 11 participants.
Their (students’) hard work and commitment finally paid off with the help of the ever supportive and hardworking people, headed by Ar. Alma J. Libranda, the Chairperson of the Department of Architecture, all the faculty members, and the entire UAPSA-LPU Cavite Chapter officers with their adviser Ar. Ludyvilla A. Vista.
The event ended with a pleasant thanksgiving mass and an awarding ceremony.
