COECSA Prof Publishes Paper on Development of an IoT-based Water and Monitoring System for Residential Building
College of Engineering, Computer Studies, and Architecture (COECSA) Chairperson of Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering Engr. Leah Santos’ research study entitled “Development of an IoT-based Water and Power Monitoring System for Residential Building” was recently published in the Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, a Scopus Indexed Journal.
Prior to the publication, Engr. Santos presented the paper at the 2nd International Conference on Automation, Mechatronics and Robotics (ICAMEROB), a virtual conference hosted by the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines last October 23, 2020.
Related to the ICAMEROB 2020 theme which is the “Addressing Global Challenges in the New Era through Research, Innovations, and Strengthening Connections”, Engr. Santos highlighted in her presentation that the study provides information between tenants and landlords on the use of the Internet of Things for power and water monitoring systems for residential buildings and that it discusses one way to make reading meters and water meters easier to access using the available internet connection.
Moreover, this research on the development of an IoT-based Water and Monitoring System is co-authored by John Carlo D. Bautista, Matt William S. Estanque, Christian John B. Paloa, and Ana Beatrice A. Villaran.
