Lyceans Learn of Climate Change
The College of Liberal Arts and Education (CLAE) headed by OIC Dean Ms. Carl Añonuevo, the Center for Research and Development (CRD) headed by Ms. Kimberly Joy Alcaraz, and the Community Outreach and Service Learning (COSeL) Office headed by Rev. Dr. Ramil Marcos, co-sponsored the conference on “Climate Change Literacy” on April 11, 2023 at the LPU Audio-Visual Theater.
Invited to give the presentation was Architect Farmer Reynaldo Solero, MBA, UAP, the President and Principal Architect of RRS Artisan D’Art Incorporated and Trustee of the Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society, Inc. Architect Soleto explained in an engaging yet down to earth manner the status of the planet’s climate change challenge. Most importantly, he proposed to the gathered audience of faculty, students and Academic Support Personnel (ASP) practical and easy steps to take in helping save the planet from the ravages of global warming and climate change. Architect Solero’s talk was admirably convincing since his proposals came from his own life experiences as an advocate for the environment. Architect Solero was a Tedx speaker on a related topic in 2020.
