Ligaw na Landas: A Closer Look at the Legal, Correctional, and Psychological Aspects of Child Delinquency in the Philippines

In celebration of the National Children’s Month, the LPU Legal Studies Students Society (LLSS) spearheaded a forum titled “Ligaw na Landas: A Closer Look at the Legal, Correctional, and Psychological Aspects of Child Delinquency in the Philippines.” The forum was held at the university auditorium and was attended by students from the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Law. Atty. Chel Diokno, President of the Free Legal Assistance Group, graced the event and talked about the legal aspects of the juvenile justice system in the Philippines. Other speakers of the forum were Mr. Carlo Pilapil, Head Psychologist of Exalt Psychological Clinic, and Mr. Jun Reponte, Registered Social Worker from the City Social Welfare and Development Office of Gen. Trias, who both shared their expertise about children in conflict with the law and children at risk.
