CAMS Dean Defends Dissertation

Dr. Fedelyn Estrella, the Dean of the College of Allied Medical Sciences (CAMS) of LPU-Cavite passed her Dissertation Final Oral Defense on February 8, 2020 at De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. Her dissertation topic is: “An Assessment of Biosafety Risks and Management Practices in Selected Medical Laboratory Science Schools in Calabarzon: Basis for a Proposed
Biosafety Standard Procedures for Schools.”

With this move, Dean Estrella earned her PhD in Educational Management, bagging the highest grade of “High Passed” from her panelists who admired her confidence, erudition and the quality of her paper and oral defense.

This achievement is a milestone in her personal and professional life, as she vigorously labored to accomplish her dream while taking on active roles as a wife and mother, and as an employed professional. However once accomplished, she dedicates her work to her husband Eric, to her children Charm, Benjo and Anya, and to her other family members. She is grateful that the people around her supplied her with a creative environment that motivated her to finish her dream.

Dr. Estrella has a gem of thought for her fellow Lycean educators pursuing further studies: “Our motivation to write should emanate not from the idea of merely satisfying an academic requirement but rather from our inner desire to contribute something to our respective communities and profession. The process may take long, become exhausting and time-consuming but these are all temporary. Upon completion, our accomplishment will certainly have an impact on ourselves as individuals, as professionals, and as responsible, creative citizens.”

With those words, you encourage and inspire all of us, Dr. Fedz. Congratulations from your LPU-Cavite family!
