BS Medtech Students from LPU Cavite Bags 1st Runner Up Place in the 41st National PAMET-PASMETH Quiz Show

Every third week of September, the Medical Technology community celebrates the MedTech week and it has been part of the yearly celebration that BS Medical Technology students from different schools, colleges, and universities gather and compete for the inter-school quiz show of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) and Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology and Public Health (PASMETH).
Three students from the BS Medical Technology program of the College of Allied Medical Sciences (CAMS) namely, Ms. Julia Claudine D. Calibar, Ms. Hanna Mae L. Corpus, and Ms. Sara Gertrudes A. Padilla, represented LPU Cavite in the sought-after competition. The students have undergone intensive review and coaching sessions with their faculty coaches namely, Mr. Romy Castor, Dr. Catherine L. Cababa, Ms. Rothessa Mary C. Camingay, and Mr. Arturo E. Irinco, Jr. The team was also led by their College Dean, Dr. Fedelyn P. Estrella.
Competed against 51 schools and universities nationwide and after 30 challenging questions, the LPU Cavite students tied with two other universities, FEU Manila and San Pedro College Davao. During the clincher round, FEU Manila delegates answered the first question correctly and were announced as the Champions. While the LPU Cavite students faced head-to-head against the delegates from San Pedro College Davao for the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up. After several questions, LPU Cavite students won, making them the 1st runner-up for the quiz show.
According to the delegates, they offered a prayer every time they selected their final answer which they believed greatly helped them in their victory. They would like to thank their coaches, CAMS faculty and students, family and loved ones for the support. Lastly, they would like to offer their win to the Lord and to the LPU Cavite community.
The 41st PAMET-PASMETH Quiz Show happened last September 23, 2022 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Quezon City, Philippines.
Champion – Far Eastern University Manila
1st Runner-Up – Lyceum of the Philippines University – Cavite
2nd Runner-Up – San Pedro College Davao
