CTE Coordinator Attends the 3rd TVIs Meeting

The Center for Technical Education Coordinator, Ms. Ellen Castillo, attended the 3rd Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) Meeting of Cavite Technical and Vocational Educators Association (CTVEA) last May 23, 2020 via Zoom videoconferencing. Cavite’s TESDA Provincial Officers Atty. Imelda Ong (Acting Provincial Director), Mr. Ramir Montoya, Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS Focal) and Ms. Julie Osias, Competency Assessment Center (CAC Focal) were the speakers. CTVEA officers facilitated the said online meeting.

The following topics were discussed:

  • TESDA Circular No.103, Series of 2019 – Omnibus Guidelines in the Registration of eLearning Programs
  • TESDA Circular No. 104 Series of 2019 – Guidelines in the Implementation of eLearning TVET Programs
  • Guidelines to a New Normal. TESDA is still waiting for the complete and approved guidelines coming from IATF and when TVIs can resume their operations. Temperature checking, spraying of alcohol, no mask, no entry and social distancing are expected to be observed once operations continue.
  • According to Atty. Ong, scholarships will still be granted to TVIs. Most of these will be given to agri-farm training since the government sees that this can help our society at this time.

TESDA and CTVEA are working hand in hand to adjust and cope up with the new normal.
