LPU-Cavite Officials Bagged the Best Research Presenter Award in an International Research Conference

The Tourism Educators and Movers of the Philippines (TEAM PH) held its 2nd International Research Conference on July 10, 2021, via a virtual platform. The theme of this year’s conference is “Tourism Recovery Scheme for Sustainable Development in the New Normal” which aims to focus on tourism and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for continuous improvement while considering the present challenges and opportunities brought about by the pandemic.

The International Research Conference was hosted by TEAM Philippines CALABARZON, in partnership with the Center for Research and Innovation in Tourism (CRiT), Taylors’ University, and in collaboration with Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas – Graduate School.

Two well-regarded keynote speakers, Dr. Gregory Ching and Dr. S. Mostafa Rasoolimanesh graced the event by sharing their knowledge and expertise in “The Why in Academic Publications” and “Tourism and SDGs”.

The highlight of the research conference was the research presentations of tourism students, educators, and professionals. LPU-Cavite officials – Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, Assistant Vice President for Administration, and Ms. Kimberly Joy E. Alcaraz, Research and Publications OIC Head – participated in the conference by presenting their research work entitled “Travel Vlogs in Promoting Tourist Destinations: Implications to Destination Image and Visitors’ Motivation” and they bagged the Best Research Presenter award in this international research conference.

This is another proof of LPU-Cavite’s commitment to the University’s mission – to advance and preserve knowledge by undertaking research and disseminating and utilizing the results.
