This year, to level up its vow to continuously strengthen and hone the research capability of educators and student researchers from different academic institutions, LPU-Cavite sponsored its very first international research webinar series. Spearheaded by the Research and Publications Office, the first part of the International Research and Innovation Webinar Series, entitled Leveraging International Research Publications: An Experiential Approach, was held on July 2, 2021, via Zoom.

The free webinar was participated by faculty and student researchers from the different regions in the country, as well as some foreign participants from Malaysia, China, India, and Pakistan. Two esteemed resource speakers shared their experiences on how to successfully prepare and publish a research article while staying in an ideal mental and emotional state.

The first resource speaker was Dr. Mohd Raziff Jamaluddin from the Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia who discussed “Cultivating the Ideal Mental and Emotional State for the Research Writing Journey” and gave some valuable tips on how to be competent and efficient in the preparation of a research manuscript. Another speaker from the University of Turin in Italy, Atty. Jellie M. Molino talked about “Conquering the Goliath: How to Successfully Publish your First Academic Article” and shared her experience on overcoming the challenges in submitting a research paper for publication. A very active and engaging open forum then followed, which allowed the participants to ask questions that were enthusiastically answered by the speakers.

As this is only the first part of the International Research and Innovation Webinar Series, let us all look forward to the second part of the series and reconvene for another valuable research discussion.
