LPU Junior High School Embarks on Artistic, Transformative and Whimsical Educational Tour

Junior High School students from the International School explored the magical world of Whimsical Wonderland, Artboom, and Change Maker during their Educational Tour last April 11, 2024. The students captured Instagram-worthy photographs and unleashed their creativity as they wandered through the halls of Whimsical Wonderland.

Right next to Whimsical Wonderland is Artboom, where students were given a chance to showcase their creativity. Students played games in the venue’s indoor playground, which included unconventional games. Some games included slingshots that required the students to shoot a colored tube into a toilet bowl-shaped ring and foot hockey that used a ball instead of a puck. Students molded various colored clays into shapes that they preferred. This immersive environment provided a platform for artistic expression and fostered the development of creative thinking skills.

Transitioning to a focus on global responsibility, the tour continued at Change Maker 2040. This educational exhibit introduced students to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through informative presentations and interactive displays, students gained valuable insights into critical global challenges and the importance of sustainable practices in achieving a better future for all. They were able to see the purpose of the 17 SDGs through the representation of the different dioramas. Many of the displays in the exhibit had various activities, including coloring pages, puzzles, and interactive dioramas and devices. Students wrote their commitments and reflections about the SDGs and the overall experience at the last station of Change Maker 2040.

The educational tour concluded with a visit to Star City, where students enjoyed an afternoon of exhilarating amusement park rides. Students wandered through many rides and booths available in the amusement park.

The tour was capped with a delicious Asian cuisine dinner at the Tramway Buffet on Roxas Boulevard.

The students were accompanied by Ms. Ana Liezl Liveta, Junior High School Coordinator, and the JHS teachers. Haranah Tours Corporation served as the tour operator for this activity.
