The 2023 GenSpell Spelling Bee Competition was held last February 4, 2023. It was organized and hosted by the City Division of the General Trias Association of Private Schools (CDGTAPS). This year’s competition was all implemented virtually using text-to-speech technology via their learning management system.

The student representatives and their coaches had already been training passionately for weeks before the competition was held. The students underwent spelling drills to expand their vocabulary and improve their spelling skills for the competition.

The training and efforts of the coaches and students paid off on the afternoon of February 4, 2023, when the results were posted on the official Facebook page of CDGTAPS. Here is the list of winners from LPU Cavite International School:

The Junior High School representatives were coached by Ms. Anna Sophia Longaza, while the senior high school representatives were coached by Mr. Gail Fernandez.

The students were congratulated and featured on the official IS Facebook page as they brought pride and honor to the University. This achievement will serve as an inspiration to the students who will join the next edition of the competition.
