It was attended by 18 schools from Cavite, gathering grade 5 and 6 learners for a day of learning and interaction. Mr. Mhar Angelo A. Bayot, headmaster of International School, delivered an opening remarks, highlighting the theme “Leading with Kindness: Building Bridges, Not Walls,” which aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Agoncillo, National Teacher-Broadcaster, DepEd TV, further emphasized this message, sharing his insights and experiences on effective leadership rooted in kindness and collective action. He encouraged the participants to embrace empathy, celebrate diversity, and promote harmony despite differences.

Faculty members from various schools participated in a parallel session with Atty. Raiah Nadine Rentar-Estacio, the Student Formation Coordinator. The session focused on the legal bases of education, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among educators.

During the lunch break, students explored interactive booths prepared by various Junior High School student organizations, including the JHS Student Government, The Young Leaf, Liceo Linguistico, IS Arts Circle, and the Science and Mathematics Enthusiast Society.

The afternoon session featured team-building activities facilitated by the JHS Student Government, fostering collaboration and camaraderie among the participants. The event concluded with a campus tour led by the Senior High School Tourism students, providing participants with a glimpse of the LPU Cavite campus.

Through YLeadS 2024, LPU Cavite not only fostered leadership skills in young minds but also served as a platform for collaboration and connection, promoting kindness among young leaders from various schools in Cavite.
