To prepare and accompany Grade 10 students of LPU Cavite International School in determining their Senior High School tracks and strands, and the career path they would like to pursue, the Guidance and Testing Center conducted a Career Guidance Seminar with the theme, “SHS: Gearing Up for Academic and Career Journey.”

The seminar for Grade 10 students and their parents was last held last December 9, 2022, at the Audio-Visual Theatre from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The event featured topics that include Personal Development and Career Planning, Introductory Guide to Senior High School Tracks and Strands, and Educational and Scholarship Opportunities to guide students and even parents in being equally well-informed about the decision-making process toward senior high school.

The registration began at 8:30AM, and at exactly 9:00AM, the program commenced with the opening remarks delivered by Ms. Sherelyn T. Sarmiento, RPm, RGC, head of the Guidance and Testing Center, followed by the Introductory Guide to SHS Tracks and Strands facilitated by the Headmaster of the International School, Mr. Mhar Angelo A. Bayot.

It was then followed by an icebreaker hosted by the SHS Student Government Public Relations Officer, Francis Carl Basilio, and Treasurer, Zachary Pakingan, which made the seminar more enjoyable for the students and parents.

After the icebreaker, the guest speaker, Ms. Jezreel Del Espiritu Santo, enlightened the students mentally towards the aspect of understanding themselves deeper to further help them with the planning of their career path. The speaker also helped the parents and guardians understand the mental aspects of their children.

After the talk, Ms. Jessica Chavez from the Admissions Office discussed the LPU Cavite Educational and Scholarship Opportunities. The seminar ended with the closing remarks from Ms. Ana Liezl P. Liveta, JHS Coordinator.

The Grade 10 students did not only enjoy the seminar session, but they were also guided toward the path that they will be taking in the near future.
