The Lyceum of the Philippines Cavite’s Guidance and Testing Center (GTC) recently completed a series of webinars for the youth of Bukid Kabataan Center. The initiative was started by Ms Sherelyn T. Sarmiento, GTC Head, and her competent staff upon the recommendation of Dr. Maria Teresa O. Pilapil, LPU Cavite’s Vice-President for Administration.

The following webinars were conducted: “Strengthening Competencies of Youth Towards Improved Well-being by Prof. Mariflor Gatchalian RPsy last December 3, 2021; “Self-care Practices: Essentials for a Healthy Mind, Body and Spirit by trainer and counselor Mr Archie M. dela Cruz on January 27, 2022; and “Journeying with the Youth in Exploring Potential Career Paths” by Ms. Remedios Moog, RGC on February 28, 2022.

The GTC staff, a team composed of pyschometricians, guidance counselors and guidance associates, generously spent time and energy for this outreach activity of their department. Their efforts were reciprocated with expressions of gratitude and appreciation by the staff and youth of Bukid Kabataan headed by Sr. Ailyn Bingco, RGS. This project of the GTC manifests LPU Cavite’s sense of social responsibility and ongoing concern for its outreach partner communities.
