ALS Begins Face to Face Classes

The first post-pandemic classes for the Alternative Learning System (ALS) kicked off with an orientation for the new learners on Friday, August 26, 2022 facilitated by Ms Allena Costa, secretary of COSeL. Soon after the orientation, the initial classes also started.

This year’s ALS batch 2022-2023 is composed of ten (10) male learners and twelve (12) female learners, but the number may still increase with inquiries still being entertained at the COSeL office and with the approval of the local Department of Education ALS authorities.

A very lively English class was conducted by the first Faculty volunteer, Ms Marianne M. Dimaculangan of the College of Arts and Sciences. Fr. Ramil R. Marcos, head of COSeL, facilitated discussions based on the Life Skills module. Each learner received free school supplies consisting of papers, notebooks, folders, and pens donated by a generous batch of this year’s graduating CITHM students. Learning modules were distributed free through the courtesy of LPU Cavite’s Material Management Office (MMO) headed by Ms Hazel Ronquillo. Thank you, Lyceans for your support for our university’s outreach programs!
