The entire LPU-C community extends deep sympathy to the family of Ms. Jiary Jassen Papa, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) newbie cadet who died while in training at the PNPA campus in Silang, Cavite on July 10, 2020, Saturday.

Ms. Papa finished her degree Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from LPU-C in 2019 and subsequently passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). After obtaining her diploma, Ms. Papa turned to fulfill her lifelong ambition to serve the country as a member of the police force. News sources said she collapsed during training due to electrolyte imbalance or low potassium intake. Her death was one of two incidents involving neophyte cadets in the same institution this year.
